2006 Uel Wade Music Scholarship Competition

Cicely took home her third First Prize in a row by winning the 2006 Uel Wade Music Scholarship Competition on Sunday May 14. The prize was worth $3000, which will be applied to her tuition at the BUTI String Quartet Workshop this summer, and towards the cost of her lessons. The winners were announced immediately following the concert at Spencertown Academy. Cicely played two of the Schumann Fantasy Pieces, and the third movement of the Saint-Saens concerto. While the judges were conferring, Cicely's sister Madalyn, who was last year's winner, entertained the crowd with selections from Vieuxtemps and Kreisler. Thanks AGAIN to Uel Wade and to his generous contributors!
