Madalyn and Cicely had the honor of performing the Vivaldi Double Concerto, RV
547 under the baton of master musician and conductor, Jaime Laredo, at the
100th Birthday Tribute Concert for Alexander “Sasha” Schneider at The New
School’s Tishman Hall in New York City on October 12, 2008. The New York String
Orchestra was composed of New York String Seminar alums and included the most
extraordinary and talented musicians in the world today! For instance, Cicely’s
teacher, cellist Peter Wiley performed with violinists Daniel Phillips, Carmit
Zori, and Josef Spacek, as well as violists Paul Neubauer, Steven Tenenbom, and
Dov Scheindlin to name a few. A sold-out audience enthusiastically endorsed the
Parnas Sisters with three curtain calls. It was a privilege to meet Marta
Casals and to make many new friends and catch-up with old ones, too!
