On September 16, Madalyn returned to the big stage and Cicely made her debut at Proctor's Theater, appearing with the Schenectady Sypmphony Orchestra. The huge all french program featured Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole, Saint-Saens' Cello Concerto No. 1, and Saint-Saens' double concerto La Muse et Le Poete !
Each performance was met with ever more-enthusiastic standing ovations. The review from the Schenectady Gazette read: "Two local teenage musical phenoms were the hit at the Schenectady Sypmphony Orchestra's Sunday afternoon concert at Proctor's." The strategic gown-change between the first and second half put the event over the top.
Maestro Schneider's bold vision for this very difficult all french program resulted in an extraordinarily successful concert that was enjoyed by all who attended.
