Parnas/Serkin Trio Debut at
Massry Center for the Arts

Madalyn and Cicely performed the Schubert Trio No. 1 in in Bb Major, Op. 99, and the Brahms Trio No. 1 in B Major, Op. 8, with the great artist and pianist Peter Serkin on April 23, 2009. The experience of playing two of the most revered pieces of the piano trio literature with one of the greatest pianists in the world will remain a memory of unmatched significance and one of great joy. Of the concert, music director of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, David Alan Miller said "magnificent… extraordinary in every way!" The seemingly perfect acoustics of the Picotte Recital Hall have resulted in a magnificent recording captured by recording engineer Dan Czernecki, which will be aired in its entirety on WMHT’s program “WMHT Live!” Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 6-8 pm!  (5/16/09)
