A TRIO IS BORN!
Following a hugely successful series of concerts together in November 2009, Madalyn
and Cicely have joined forces with the exciting young Israeli pianist
Yaron Kohlberg to form the Parnas-Kohlberg Trio.
 The three met and immediately began working together while Yaron was on tour in the United States, following his 2nd prize win at the 2007 Cleveland International Piano Competition. The collaboration has been truly magical. Within six months of their meeting, they performed concerts at Tuxedo Park (NY), Lenox (MA), Bard Hall at Bard College, at the Soros home in New York City, and at Temple Beth El in Oneonta, NY which met with unlimited success; audience capacities were exceeded and the music was consistently received with genuine jubilation. One long-standing member of the musical community said she had never heard a more exciting piano trio performance. A new series of concerts is scheduled for November 2010, when Yaron will return to the United States, and a third is planned for April/May 2011. |
