Madalyn was presented with a unique opportunity for a twelve-year-old when she was chosen to play the first movement of the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra. Gwen Krosnick, 17, was the cellist, and Franz Vezuli, 16, was the pianist. A review in the Times Herald-Record called it a "a lush virtuoso performance". The Mid Hudson Times called it "a real show stopper [...] Each soloist played with a flair and zest for the piece that seemed way beyond their years, and the sound quality and intonation of the violin and cello was truly extraordinary." The concert was a great success all around.
